Reviews and Ratings
This hotel is a quirky but delightful stay with its unique rooftop Airstream trailers. It's conveniently located near various attractions and restaurants, making exploring the city easy. The rooms are charming, though on the smaller side, and the staff is exceptionally welcoming. Just be prepared for some noise from the vibrant area at night, which could be a downside for light sleepers. Overall, it's a fun and memorable experience I would recommend, especially for those looking for something different.
I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Grand Daddy. While the rooftop airstreams offered a unique experience, my initial check-in was quite disappointing as I did not receive the suite I booked. However, the central location on Long Street made it easy to explore the city, and the staff were friendly, which helped improve the overall experience.
I had a fantastic stay at this lovely boutique hotel in the city center. The rooms were stylish and well laid out, making it a comfortable retreat. The staff were delightful and went above and beyond to assist us. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy at times. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.
The Grand Daddy Hotel offers a charming blend of retro style and modern comfort right in the heart of Cape Town. The rooms are clean and well-decorated but on the smaller side. Dining at Thirty Ate was a delight, and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shops and attractions. However, the shower's water pressure could be better, and the rooftop bar could use a good cleaning.
Staying at the hotel was a unique and enjoyable experience, especially with the rooftop Airstream trailers offering views of Table Mountain. The clean and comfortable accommodations were complemented by the retro vibe of the hotel. We loved the tasty breakfast options at the on-site restaurant, but since some of the trailers don't have en-suite bathrooms, be sure to check before booking. Overall, it was a charming getaway, especially for a quick break in the city.
